  • Diagnose engine noise and stalling. Test with scanner no related dtc's. Researched engine noise found TSB 4 engine oil filters creating engine knock. Installed original equipment Hyundai oil filter with synthetic oil road test engine noise continued. Need to pull valve cover to inspect Cam and lifters. Diagnosis finished on other labor line.
  • Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and cabin filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Perform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
  • Remove valve cover inspect for wear or damage. Everything inspected on the to KMS looks to be fine with no signs of abnormal wear. Suggest doing oil changes more frequent for the next two or three times with synthetic oil in Hyundai original oil filter. Recommend next oil change in 1,000 miles

Scanned and found P2098:00 – A F, post Catalyst fuel trim system too lean bank 2. Check bank 2 Sensor 2 oxygen sensor and found O2 sensor stuck in one reading position. Recommend renewed both post cat oxygen sensors. During Clear codes operation pending code P0161 B2S2 O2 sensor heater circuit fault was logged.
  • Scanned tire pressure monitor system and found B2872 – B0 Tire pressure sensor fault not receiving data./Manually read all Tire Pressures Sensor. All Sensors working at this time cleared code. Customer returned with vehicle and found B2872 – EO tire pressure sensor fault. Rechecked all tire pressure sensors. Tire pressure is reading 57 to 58 PSI on all four wheels. Reduce tire pressure to 40 PSI and tire pressure monitor warning went out. Increased pressure to 50 PSI and tire pressure monitor warning is still out. Recommend tire pressures at 50 psi.
